We raise registered Valais Blacknose sheep on pasture in Southeast Idaho — the same hardy Swiss alpine bloodlines, a new mountain home in Cache Valley.
The Valais Blacknose is one of Switzerland's oldest sheep breeds, developed over centuries in the high alpine valley that gives it its name. It's known for a docile temperament, a distinctive black-and-white face, spiraled horns, and dense curled wool built for mountain weather — traits that translate just as well to Idaho winters as they do to the Swiss Alps.
Every animal we place is tracked through verified pedigree, so you know exactly what you're bringing home.
Our flock is raised on open pasture in Franklin County, with the space and forage to grow the way the breed was meant to.
We keep our numbers modest on purpose — every lamb is known by name before it's ever known by a buyer.
Southeast Idaho's Cache Valley shares more with the Swiss Alps than you'd expect — cold winters, high pasture, and a rhythm of life set by the seasons. That's part of why the Valais Blacknose does so well here. We're a small operation built around one belief: a heritage breed deserves a home that suits it, and a buyer who understands what they're taking on.
Our available lambs and breeding stock are listed with full herdbook detail — sex, bloodline, and status — so you can find the right fit before you ever reach out.
